Well in a post earlier on in the week where I shared the exciting news that three of my products had been selected to feature in the Blog & Buy Sale’s Spring Wish List, I promised that I would share with you some of my ‘top picks’ from the list. I thought it would be difficult but I didn’t realise just how hard it was going to be to pick just a few favourites out of so many amazing products and talent on there! So, after much deliberation, I have managed to narrow it down to five! I tried to choose quite different products (although I did sneak two cushions in there….well what can I say? I love cushions!) but I think they all still share my passion (and hopefully yours!) for pattern and colour in some way or another. So, in no particular order, here they are:
I chose this cushion not just because I love this design (I’m a sucker for a tiling/tessellating repeat pattern!) but also because of how the design is created. Calson & Co create their patterns using antique printing blocks known as ornaments and fleurons and I really like how they incorporate traditional printing techniques into their designs.
I love the vibrancy, colour and graphic impact of this design by Kitty McCall. It’s really on-trend and I like how their products allow you to bring a little bit of the Catwalk into your living space.
I was drawn to these bangles by Stories2wear not only because of their illustrative surface pattern design but also because of the gorgeous combinations of colours. They are all lovingly made by hand in Greece by Ionna.
I’m a big fan of the brand Roddy & Ginger and I love the folky, colourful vibe of their products. Anyone who knows me, knows I have a weakness for all things retro, especially in surface pattern!
My final pick is this colourful display unit by Coucoumanou. I love how the coloured backs in the shelf spaces make the unit look just as good empty as it would with carefully chosen pieces in it! In fact, it seems a shame to cover them up!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my top 5 picks and that it’s given you a small taster of just how many wonderful creative products feature on the Spring Wish List. I’d love to know what you think to my choices and what your favourites are!
