It’s always lovely to be able to share new designs with you all and it’s even better when there are two, which is what I have for you today! I decided to enter the latest Tigerprint competition which was for a Female Surface Pattern design that could be used across a wide range of products such as, Gift Bags, Wrapping Paper, Stationery Products and Greetings Cards. Well I couldn’t resist as I felt it was right up my street! It’s been a while since I’ve entered a competition and I find they’re often great opportunities to add to your portfolio of designs. Inspired by Summer which is (hopefully!) just around the corner and wanting to keep the designs pretty, feminine and modern, I hand drew the individual motifs and elements of the design and then ‘built’ the layout on the computer. I chose two colour palettes from the Spring/Summer 2014 trend season as I felt not only did they sit well with this years trends, the palettes would help carry this design through into next year. What do you think? I hope you like them!
